About

Mission:

"To offer a pathway of healing, balance restoration and rejuvenation by inspiring and motivating growth through knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail."

Although I am trained in alleviating pain and tension throughout many areas of the body, a big portion of my Massage Therapy focuses on relieving acute and chronic neck, shoulder, upper, mid and lower back pain. I use a variety of techniques to decompress the spine, encourage scapular and neck mobility and more for optimum body maintenance and muscle reprogramming.

Tension and compression near the spine can hinder the nerves branching off of the spine which can lead to adverse effects all throughout the body including numbness, "tingliness" or pain.

There are many muscles surrounding the scapulae involved in enabling us to work with our hands in front of us which, over months and years of performing a variety of daily repetitive movements, can produce restrictive tension in the muscles and fascia consequently hindering the blood flow to these muscles.

Low back pain can be caused by a combination of certain areas of the body containing restrictive tension. Sitting for long periods of time can create tension in the hip flexors and gluteal muscles. The crossing of legs can create tension in the IT Bands and gluteal muscles. Shoulder tension can also "pull" at the low back creating tension.

I use a very integrated approach in alleviating pain and tension in these and many other areas of body.

I am a graduate of The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School and Clinic. I am certified in Cupping Therapy through the International Cupping Therapy Association. I enjoy consistently learning and expanding my knowledge in order to better help others, listening to and playing music and am a huge animal lover.
